Dayot Upamecano is relishing the chance to go up against Erling Haaland as France ready themselves to take on Norway on Friday.
What's at Stake?
France and Norway have taken six points from their first two games, meaning the contest in Boston will decide who goes through as Group I winners.
The Opponent
Haaland has been in fantastic form, scoring four goals, and could become only the third player in World Cup history to net 2+ goals in each of his first three appearances in the competition.
Upamecano's Strategy
Upamecano told L'Equipe: "With Haaland, you always have to keep one eye on him, watch where he is, and also keep an eye on the player with the ball."
The Physical Test
He's expecting it to be a physical test, and said: "He's a player who likes physical contact, and so do I. But sometimes, you have to know how to manage the game, force him to one side and close down his goal angle."
Other Threats
Upamecano also pointed out Haaland is not the only threat France's defence must be wary of, mentioning Alexander Sorloth as another strong and fast player.
The Battle Ahead
Upamecano is up for the battle, and is expecting a tough match against Norway, with the winner taking the top spot in Group I.
Haaland's Speed
Haaland is very quick off his feet, a bit like Kylian Mbappe, and only needs a split second to change direction, making him a difficult opponent to defend against.
Upamecano's Focus
Upamecano will have to be at 100% to keep up with Haaland, who will want to make the most of his limited touches on the ball, playing them at 100% intensity.
The Match
The match between France and Norway is set to be an exciting one, with both teams looking to take the top spot in Group I and move forward in the competition.
